Yesterday I finished the last book that I started during our vacation; Isle of the Dead .  I really enjoyed it.  It is an older science fiction/fantasy book, but it was a stand alone which I liked.  I would read more of Julia Gray’s older books if I could find them.

Now I’m going to start Collin’s final book in the Hunger Games Triology; Mockingjay (The Final Book of The Hunger Games)
I’ve been waiting for it to come out, so I’m really excited. I’ll let you know how I like it. I didn’t like book 2 Catching Fire (The Second Book of the Hunger Games) , as much as 1 The Hunger Games , but I’m really interested to see how she finishes it and what happens with the main character.

I finished another puzzle today, but this one I had help on. I had begun it when I lived in China but realized my table was way too small so I packed it up and shipped to Alaska where I have a nice big counter. I brought it out right before the wedding and had help, especially from Ryan’s mom Barb. Now it’s finally finished and let me tell you it was a bit challenging simply because I had to scrutinize the box going from decade to decade in search of the right area.

It has all its pieces (2000) and is in great shape.  I’ve been trying to find it on the internet to sell it, but can’t find it anywhere.  If you are interested, I’d sell it for around $30.00 plus shipping.

Yaxchilan: Amazing Architecture

Look at the top level of this temple. I hadn’t seen this style before this trip and this was by far the most massive, in tact, comb-like architecture I had seen. It was amazing.

The main entrance at Yaxchilan was a dark spooky maze that was awesome.

Yaxchilan had some great lintel murals. Some had been removed and sent off to museums, but a couple had been restored and left in place. I was amazed at the carvings.
