I had cupping done at my Traditional Chinese Medicine appointment. They didn’t use the heated cups, but instead simple suction cupping. I think I’m going to find a place to do the heated ones so I can compare. Anyway, it doesn’t hurt, but it does feel strange, as it pulls on your skin. Cupping is used to balance your Yin and Yang.
Trying to take a picture of your own back is really difficult. At least I was able to get two of my really dark cupping marks. I guess I had a lot of toxins I needed to remove.
I tried to take pictures on all 14 floors, as the windows became smaller and smaller but my camera picked that time to freak out and I only ended up with the bottom ones and the top ones.
Big and….
I’m not sure which I wasn’t supposed to enter. Somehow I made it both ways though.
So, another Thanksgiving working in China. Didn’t have the day off so the AYI made me dinner. Seafood porridge- enough said.
I miss my home.
I’m a klutz and a teacher. Over the years I’ve heard numerous stories of kids having teachers spill coffee or soda on their assignments. I’d like to apologize for the times I’ve done it in the past and the times I will invariably do it in the future. In fact I almost just did it again. That’s what spawned this apology idea. Now I’m covered in case I do spill. And yes, I will accept work with stains on it. : )
I went to my third traditional Ch.nese medicine treatment on Sunday and it was the most painful of all my visits. The first time I went they started me with acupuncture, which wasn’t really painful, but wasn’t all together relaxing. For acupuncture I had 3 pins in my legs trying to help break up the blockage of my Chi. Then came the “massage” portion of my visit. The doctor pushes on various parts of your body working on the meridians where you Chi flows. They are trying to help your Chi to flow freely instead of being blocked. When it hurts a lot you must have a lot of blockage. I guess I had a ton this visit, but I guess I have 34 years of Chi blockage to work out. Even though it is often quite painful, I enjoy my visits and look forward to them each Sunday. Each time I visit different meridians hurt. They don’t speak English but there was an English woman training on my first visit so I know a few things about what is happening. I’m also excited about learning why certain parts of my body always seem to hurt. It’s all quite fascinating.
I’m already looking forward to my next visit.
